Rules and Regulations

Welcome to Shenandoah Acres Family Campground. We are happy to have you as our guests. To ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests we ask that you comply with the following courtesies.

Registration Check in/out: All guests and visitors must register at the camp store.

-        CAMPSITE CHECK-IN: 1:00PM     CHECK-OUT: 12:00PM

-        COTTAGE/LODGE CHECK-IN: 3:00PM     CHECK-OUT: 11:00AM

Later check-outs must be approved through Reservations at the Camp store. Additional charges may apply. Prior approval must be obtained from Reservations at the Camp store before you can change sites.

Payment Policy: Payment is due in full at time of check-in. For questions or concersn, please call (540) 337-2267.

Campsites: All campsites are assigned through Reservations. Must obtain prior approval through Reservations at the Camp store before you will be permitted change sites.

Visitors: Please stop by the Camp store. Visitors are allowed from 9:00am – 10:00pm. There is a fee of $3.00 per person. All vehicles must be parked with a visible parking pass (obtained at the Camp store) in the overflow area.

Parking: Parking is restricted to your site and designated parking areas only. Two cars per site permitted. Do not park on vacant sites or on the road.

Quiet Hours: 11:00pm – 8:00am Daily

Trash: Trash will be picked up from your site. Please have trash bagged and placed at your site post by 10:00am. After 10:00am, please put trash in trash “corral”.

Pets: Pets are welcome and limited to 2 pets (dogs or cats) per site. Please provide proof of current vaccination records. Your pet must ALWAYS be leashed and without excessive barking. Owner must and will be expected to pick up all waste behind pets. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended for extended periods of time. They are prohibited from the beach area, Putt-Putt Golf, or inside ANY buildings. Dog Run is available for your pet’s pleasure.

Speed Limit: 5 mph (strictly enforced)

Motorcycles: Motorcycle’s may be used to enter or leave the campground, but not for transportation within the campground.

Golf Carts: Golf carts are to only be driven by a licensed driver and must have proof of insurance. Please provide proof of insurance at time of reservation. Golf carts are prohibited on grassy areas, beach, or in the residential area. They are to be operated on designated roads only!

Bicycles: Bicycles are permitted on designated roadways from 7:00am to dusk. They are prohibited on beach and residential areas. Helmets are strongly suggested but must be worn by anyone under the age of 18. Bicycle riding is not permitted after dark regardless of lighting on the bicycle.

Fires: Fires are permitted in fire rings only. Fire rings are not to be moved. Trash/garbage is not permitted to be burned. NO OPEN FIRES OR BONFIRES PERMITTED!

               Firewood: Firewood is available for sale in the camp store. No cutting, damaging, or defacing of         trees or plants allowed.

Alcohol: No open display permitted. Excessive drinking prohibited! Strictly enforced.

Behavior: Verbal and physical altercations will not be tolerated. Use of offensive and profane language will not be tolerated. Any guest that cannot adhere to this rule will be asked to vacate the premises with no refund.

Firearms/Fireworks: Not allowed in the park or on the property.

Children: Parents/Guardians are responsible for the actions and safety of their own children and visitors. Small children MUST have parent/guardian/adult supervision at ALL TIMES.

Swimming/Beach House:  PLEASE BE AWARE – SWIM WITH CARE. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW POSTED SWIMMING RULES. NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.

Beach house is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sunday – Thursday 10:00am – 6:00pm     Friday and Saturday 10:00am – 8:00pm

Fishing Pond: 7:00am – 7:00pm Please adhere to posted rules. Campground permit required.

Playground: Open from dawn until 11:00pm

In General:

·        No digging in ground or roads

·        No cutting, damaging, or defacing of any living trees or plants

·        No washing of RV’s or vehicles

·        NO FIREARMS OR FIREWORKS

·        No exotic or farm animals permitted on property

Swimming Rules

WARNING: No lifeguard on duty in swimming area. Use and swim at your own risk.

·        No diving

·        Children (age 14 and under; non-swimmers) must be supervised by an adult (18+ years of age)

·        No rowdy behavior; no chicken fights; no flipping

·        Enter the water feet first, facing forward

·        NO GLASS in swimming area

·        Please use disposable swim diapers

·        Management reserves the right to restrict the use of any toy or behavior that management considers a danger or a problem.

This property is privately owned. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, loss of property, and loss of valuables.

Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Shenandoah Acres Family Campground to photograph the visitor while on premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor. The guest assumes all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in rustic outdoors environment including specifically (but not exclusively), the danger of being injured by insect or other animals, being injured while participating in recreational activities, such as hiking, swimming, etcetera or of being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees that campground and its owner, agents, and employees are not liable for injuries or property loss or damages resulting from such causes.

*ALL OTHER COMMON-SENSE RULES APPLY. ANYONE BREAKING THESE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITHOUT A REFUND.*
