Terms of Service

The right to use an RV campsite (the “License”) at Meadowlark RV Park, 132 Prospect Avenue, Middletown, Rhode Island (the “Property”) is  granted to you and your family  (the “Guests”) subject to the terms and conditions herein below (the “Terms and Conditions”), the waivers and general releases below and incorporated herein by reference, all posted rules and any and all subsequent updates or revisions, as provided in writing.  Guests acknowledge that they have received a copy of these Terms and Conditions, a copy of the waivers and releases contained herein, and that they along with any of their day or overnight visitors, agree to abide by them.

If Guests fail to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions, rules, waivers and general releases contained herein, any posted rules or regulations, or any rules or regulations that may be hereafter prescribed by the owner and operator of the Property  (“Meadowlark”)  in Meadowlark’s sole discretion, or if Guests fail to pay any fees or charges required to be paid,  Meadowlark may revoke the License to use an RV campsite. Upon revocation of this License, the Guests shall vacate the RV campsite and the Property. Failure to promptly vacate shall result in removal of the Guests and any visitors by a law enforcement officer pursuant to RIGL Sec. 34-18.1-20.  Guests expressly  acknowledge that the grant under this License is not a lease and there is no landlord tenant relationship created hereby.

This PROPERIY IS PRIVATELY OWNED AND THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except for those prohibited by law. Meadowlark reserves the right to revoke the License of any person or party it deems necessary without refund and eject them from the campground based on violations of park rules or behavior that management deems inappropriate, disruptive, disrespectful, or disturbing to other campers, visitors, staff or management. Meadowlark  monitors the property using surveillance cameras.

  • Check-in and Check-out: Campsite check-in is at  1 pm and checkout is at 11 am. Please plan your travel plans accordingly as we do not have a holding area for early arrivals.
  • Maximum Stay: 30 days
  • Additional People Charges: Our rates are based upon four occupants Additional occupants over 6 years old are charged  per person, per night. There is a maximum of 8 people per site.
  • Visitors: There is a limit to the number of visitors per site per day. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets into the campground. Visitors must be preregistered with notification to Management.

Unregistered visitors will not be able to enter the park. Visitors who travel by motorcycle will be asked to park them in a designated area by the Reception Center, the visitor may not ride motorcycle into park.

  • Tents:  Tents are not allowed anywhere on the Meadowlark  property. 
  • Cancellations: A $20 processing fee will be charged for EACH canceled reservation that is cancelled with the appropriate advanced notice. Additionally, licensees who shorten their stay are liable for charges on cancelled nights, bear in mind many of our sites are weekly in the summer and may not be shortened. For those Licensees who participate in our Credit Card Authorization program, your credit card will be charged the processing fee as acknowledged on the Credit Card Authorization Form and proper cancellation notice is required to avoid additional charges. Although we certainly hope you do not, if you find you must cancel your reservation, you must give us the appropriate notice, as defined below, and we will return your deposit less any processing fees. Sadly, even in cases of an emergency or inclement weather, we cannot refund deposits when a cancellation occurs without proper notice, and you will be responsible for the site fees. 14 Days in advance full refund less processing  fee, 7-13 days 50% deposit less processing fee and 6 days or less no refund.
  • Charges: You hereby authorize us to charge the credit card on file for charges you made during your stay. Additionally, you consent and agree to charges made by you over the phone, online, or in person while booking.
  • Non-Assignable: The License is not transferrable to another individual even if you sell your RV.
  • Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from  11:00 pm to 8:00 am. Late arrivals are discouraged from setting up after 11:00 pm in an effort to reduce distractions to your neighbors.
  • Outages in Services: Meadowlark may occasionally experience outages including water, electric, cable, wireless internet and any other utilities as defined by Meadowlark, which are beyond our control. No refunds or compensation will be given for any outages.

 

RELEASES AND WAIVERS

  lt is my responsibility to keep my property and personal belongings secure. Meadowlark is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

GENERAL RELEASE ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Notice: This is a legally binding document. If not understood, legal advice should be sought. By signing this document, you give up your right and the right of your heirs, next of kin, personal representatives, and assigns to bring a court action, now or any time in the future to recover compensation or obtain any other remedy for an injury to yourself or your property or for your death, however caused, arising out of your use of Meadowlark  facilities even if such claim is based upon actual negligence of Meadowlark or its members, directors, officers, agents, and employees.

Licensee understands that this constitutes the entire agreement between Licensee and Meadowlark, its agents, workers, directors and employees, and all other persons or entities associated with it,  that Licensee’s License may be revoked resulting in immediate removal of Licensee and Family from the RV Site and the Property.  Licensee has read this entire document in full, understands it completely, and agrees to be bound by its Terms. This License is a Rhode Island contract and Licensee consents to the jurisdiction and venue for any action relating to this  License in Newport County, Rhode Island regardless of Licensee’s residence or domicile.

I hereby acknowledge that I understand these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by all.  I hereby acknowledge and represent that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; I am executing this agreement for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same.

Park Rules

1.     Check-In starts at 1:00 PM and Check-Out is no later than 11:00 AM

2.     No campfires allowed at sites. Fire pits are provided in main field.  

3.     Quiet time is 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

4.     Only self-contained RVs allowed. No Tents.

5.     All sites are back in. If you need assistance, please let us know.

6.     For the safety of the guests, the Park Speed Limit – 5 mph

7.     Pets are to be kept on a short leash and wearing their ID tags at all times.

8.     Pick up after your pet. We thank you in advance.

9.     No Washing of RVs or Autos due to being on well water. 

10.  All ground covers, carpets, platforms, and screen rooms with a floor are Prohibited. 

11.  No outdoor appliances, refrigerators, freezers, hot water heaters, and electric cookers. 

12.  Firearms, bow and arrows, or weapons of any type are Strictly Prohibited

13.  Fireworks of any type are Strictly Prohibited.

14.  RVers are responsible for the conduct of their children and guests at all times.  

15.  No climbing on trees, fences, or stone walls. 

16.  Please respect the campers around you. Stay off of sites, no cutting through yards.

17.  Excessive noise will not be tolerated.

18.  Overnight guests are to check in at Park Office and pay fees. Notify office of additional guests.

19.  There are cloths lines along the stone walls and laundromat to dry beach wear.

20.  All trash must be bagged, and boxes broken down, flattened, and placed in dumpster at the exit of park. 

21.  Please ask office before driving in stakes, some sites can’t handle them. 

22.  Do not tie anything to Utility Poles on your site.

23.  Do not leave food outside or feed the wild animals in the area.

24. No fences of any type permitted. 

25. No pools or tubs of any sort are allowed on sites.
